Original Gin - In support of CHAS

LIMITED EDITION BOTTLE IN SUPPORT OF NHS AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS

In April 2020, Eden Mill created 5,000 limited edition bottles of their award-winning Original Gin in support of NHS and Healthcare workers. £2 from every bottle sold has been donated to charities supporting NHS and Healthcare workers.

We are proud to announce that from today (22nd June 2020), £2 from each bottle of our Original Gin sold, will be donated to CHAS.

We are proud to announce that we reached our target for the first 2 months of sales of our limited edition bottles. These funds have been donated to Masks for NHS Heroes, a crowdfunding effort set up by front-line NHS doctors to help raise money for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Duty To Care. Duty To Care’s mission is to provide wellbeing support via online consultation to improve and sustain the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare professionals.

Children’s Hospices Across Scotland, better known as CHAS, continues to be there for these families through the most difficult times. Their hospices are still open but with reduced capacity – providing physical, hands-on support for the most urgent cases. The CHAS at Home team continues to provide vital care in people’s homes. Of course this is in addition to their ongoing work in hospitals to provide specialist palliative support to their NHS colleagues working with children with life-shortening conditions. This includes their specialist palliative care team in Glasgow Children’s Hospital, as well as their Diana children’s nurses who work in the major children’s hospitals across Scotland.

We absolutely love and appreciate the work that CHAS do, and we hope that we can help support families through their toughest times.

Megan Stobo, Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive from CHAS said;

Knowing your child will die young is the hardest thing. It is made even harder with the constant worry about what Coronavirus infection means, and the stark reality of isolation.

To ensure we can continue supporting every referred child and their families who are shielding at home, we have launched the UK’s first Virtual Children’s Hospice, providing remote access to a range of remote support from CHAS. Essential medical advice, creative activity packs and videos as well as fun and games with Clown Doctors and music therapists will be provided for free. For those who can’t currently visit CHAS’s hospice support and creative activities as usual, the virtual hospice will not only help them survive this unprecedented situation, but help them thrive and continue to smile – keeping the joy alive.

We are so grateful to the team at Eden Mill, and indeed their fantastic customers for supporting children and families through this wonderful initiative.
